Date Of Death: April 18, 2011

Neeland Elwood Rogers, beloved cherished husband, father, and grandfather, Indianapolis, passed away April 18, 2011.
He was born July 18, 1923 in Centertown, TN, to the late Sherman and Alice (Williamson) Rogers. Neeland graduated from Shortridge High School. He was a WWII Army Veteran, serving at the Battle of the Bulge under General George Patton. He was a member of American Legion Post #34 and the Local Carpenters Union. He attended Epworth Methodist Church.
Neeland is survived by his wife of 57 years, Christine (Russell) Rogers; one daughter, Deborah (Tony) Johnson; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Jimmy) Collier, Michael (Heather) Powell, Brent Johnson, and Stephen Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Aspen, Chase, and Ava.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc. at blindness.org.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Mount View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN.
Harry W. Moore Funeral Care is in charge of local arrangements.
